Ezra: “Me” Appointments and Buying Flowers for Yourself

In the midst of #bikinibod and #summerbod hashtags and all of the body positivity, there is always the half-conscious nuance in the back of our minds that calls us to recognize our flaws. And then boom, a self-love session can quickly turn into pity parties and insecurity sessions. While this all comes in lots of different forms, it’s not easy to just lecture yourself to stop thinking that way. It’s inevitable, it’s human nature. So how do we address that?

Meet Ezra: One Student, Two Seemingly Unrelated Majors

Hiii everyone! I’m Ezra and I am an Accounting and Human Rights major at Richland College. I’m planning to transfer to SMU or UTD depending on financial aid packages and scholarships, so fingers crossed. Ideally, I would love to work in the United Nations and find my way in the legislative process as a congresswoman but those are just plans, I’m open to where life takes me.

Here it is: our last chapter in our series of blog posts on U.S. News and World Report’s 100 Best Jobs of 2016. We’ve managed to talk about a wide variety of industries, ranging from topics like health care, all the way to technology, engineering, math and management. These are Some of the Best Management Jobs of 2016

Continuing on our theme of discussing the U.S. News and World Report’s 100 Best Jobs of 2016 list and what that means to DCCCD, we’re talking this week about jobs with management roles. At first glance, you might not necessarily see how each of these jobs are connected. But the thing they have in common is that they will usually require some ability to see things from a “big picture” point of view and keep track of various moving parts. All of them will require some level of people skills, as often these positions will involve hiring and supervising others.
