Recently, Glassdoor.com published an article called 9 Hot Jobs for Workers Without a Bachelor’s Degree and, wouldn’t you know it — you can become qualified for (or move up in) several of those jobs through an education at DCCCD! Here’s the full scoop:
Texas needs teachers. Everyone does, really — for teachers at all levels (kindergarten/elementary school, middle school, high school and special education), employment is projected to grow six percent nationally from 2014 to 2024.
You read that right! Starting in January 2017, all eligible DCCCD students can apply for a Student GoPass. Stay tuned, though — there are a few eligibility requirements and other details you’re going to want to keep in mind.
Service learning is a great idea because it allows students to connect their service in the community with a particular learning objective in the classroom. That’s right — by donating your time to your community, you can also earn college credit toward your degree.

The decision to register for summer college classes is not an easy one. Students struggle with the choice between taking a relaxing hiatus from their studies or using the summer to get ahead (or catch up).

Here it is: our last chapter in our series of blog posts on U.S. News and World Report’s 100 Best Jobs of 2017. We’ve managed to talk about a wide variety of industries, ranging from topics like health care, all the way to technology, engineering, math and management.
