Surrounded by nature, away from the hustle of college life, student leaders from all the DCCCD colleges gathered at the Prothro Retreat by Lake Texoma to attend the four-day DCCCD Summer Leadership Retreat from May 16 to May 19. Every year since 1963, the U.S. has observed a National Small Business Week in honor of community contributions from local entrepreneurs and small business owners. The purpose of Small Business Week is to recognize these business owners and their employees, which make up more than half of Americans and create about two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year.
