Apply for Dallas College Foundation Scholarships

Last updated on March 25, 2021

The Dallas College Foundation is ready to throw some money at you again. You should go fill out an application to take advantage of that.

It’s only one form, friends. That’s light work. Right now, you can apply for Summer 2021 scholarships through April 30. The Fall 2021 scholarship application opens March 1 and doesn’t close until June 1. Based on your application, we’ll match you up with as many scholarship opportunities as possible.

Let’s go through the online application step by step.

Step One

First, you’ll log in on the Foundation’s myScholarships page. Just use your Dallas College ID and your Dallas College password. If you have any problems, click Student and Employee Help.

Once you’re in, fill out the online scholarship application. When you’re finished, you’re automatically matched to opportunities based on the criteria you meet. That includes academic excellence, financial need, personal achievement and leadership, among other factors.

Please note: You will be matched with scholarships based on the information in your Dallas College record, such as your contact information and program of study. If you need to make changes to the information in your official record, contact the Admissions/Registrar’s Office at 972-669-6400 or admissions@dcccd.edu.

Step Two

Some scholarships require more information beyond eligibility, such as an essay or answers to supplemental questions. The online scholarship application system will let you know if those are necessary, and you’ll submit that information directly through the online form. A keyword search is also available for you to explore all available scholarships.

Step Three

You can check on the status of your scholarship application whenever you want. You just need to log into myScholarships and click on the Home tab in the upper-left corner. If you have been offered a scholarship, you will see a status update. You will also receive notification through the email you use to log in. You’ll have seven days from the day you receive the email to complete the post-acceptance questions.

Here’s something else to keep in mind: Not all scholarships require letters of recommendation, but if you need one, don’t wait until the last minute. Make sure to give the person recommending you plenty of time to write one for you.

If you’re having trouble with the types of scholarships you want, we’ve got all scholarship opportunities and requirements listed for you. You can even keyword search for scholarships for which you might be eligible. Or take a look at a few external scholarships available to Dallas College students who qualify.
