What is Digital Art and Design?

Digital art students use computers to create and design art. They often work in digital photography, animation, electronic sound and music, graphic design, and other digital or interactive media. Our multidisciplinary approach integrates a traditional art curriculum with Digital Art and Design in small classes with accessible instructors.

What Kinds of Digital Art and Design Degrees and Certificates Are Available?

Cedar Valley and North Lake colleges offer various programs in Digital Art and Design. You can choose from an associate of applied science or one of two certificates.

Digital Art and Design Associate of Applied Science degree

  • Credit hours: 60
  • Program length: four semesters

Digital Art and Design Certificate

  • Credit hours: 36
  • Program length: three semesters
  • Estimated cost: $2,124

Digital Art and Design Specialist Certificate

  • Credit hours: 21
  • Program length: two semesters
  • Estimated cost: $1,239
