Spring Semester Is Over: Top 6 Reasons to Attend Summer School

Have you considered registering for summer school? Still having trouble thinking of positive reasons to take summer courses – let us help!

Should I Take Summer College Courses?

We think so but don’t take our word for it – check out the summer schedule. Registration is underway, be sure to register today.

  • Tuesday, June 5 – Summer I begins.
  • Tuesday, July 10 – Summer II begins.

Heads up: You can register for a Maymester or summer class until the class begins.

Top 6 Reasons to Attend Summer School:

  • Transferable skills. Summer school helps you develop transferable skills that you can use in the workforce such as time management, organization and writing skills.
  • Less Distraction and Better Focus. Summer school gives you the option of more one-on-one learning.
  • Get Credit Quickly. Summer sessions generally run four weeks whereas during the regular semester, classes run for sixteen weeks. This is a great option if you are looking to get some basic courses under your belt.
  • Graduate Early. Get a jump-start on graduation and use summer classes to graduate early. It’s a great way to stay focused and motivated.
  • Raise Your GPA. Summer school is a great opportunity to retake a course or take an elective to get your GPA where you would like it.
  • Campus is open but with fewer students. You get all of the benefits of being on campus that you would during the regular semester but with fewer students, which means more parking.
