Dennis Frazier’s #DCCCDLove as Both an Employee and Alumnus

Last updated on October 2, 2019

Let’s talk about Dennis Frazier’s #DCCCDLove! His #DCCCDLove started when he was hired to work at North Lake College in a contracted position in the print shop. He worked there for ten years before becoming a department assistant in the Liberal Arts division in July 2008 and started pursuing his associate degree in 2010, just two years later.

North Lake employee Dennis Frazier is now working toward a bachelor’s degree in psychology and hopes to one day become a professor.

An excellent employee and scholar, Dennis was the recipient of the President’s Award in 2006 and completed the Administrative Assistant Career Institute in 2012-2013. In the spring of 2014, Dennis finally completed his studies at North Lake and walked across the stage to receive his Associate of Arts degree. With professional awards and degree in hand, Dennis was equipped to move into the next level of his career as a faculty load contract specialist in 2014.

Dennis gives all credit to DCCCD for helping him find his way. “I never really knew what I wanted to be or what I wanted to do, but I knew I had to work. North Lake College and the DCCCD helped me earn a living while finding my career path. In earning my degree from North Lake, I discovered my passion, and am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in psychology. I hope to be an adjunct professor one day at the same college that helped me discover my passion,” he said.
