Who is the Wine Curmudgeon?

El Centro instructor and nationally known wine writer Jeff Siegel will discuss the study of wines and grape cultivation throughout the class, as well as lead educational wine tastings. (Students must be at least 21 years of age by the first day of class, in accordance with Texas state law.)

As the Wine Curmudgeon, Siegel has “made cheap wine his life’s work and isn’t embarrassed about the choice.” Siegel’s articles have appeared in a variety of regional and national newspapers, magazines and websites, all the while insisting he’s “no better or cooler or neater than you are – because I’m not. I just drink more wine.”
