blogwritingSeven Eastfield College students won cash prizes in Texas Wesleyan University’s 2014 Community College Student Writing Competition. Categories and winners are:

Creative Nonfiction

  • Bridget Menard, first place
  • Billy Dennis, second place
  • Courtney Schwing, third place

Feature Writing

  • Braulio Tellez, first place
  • Sidney Murillo and Karina Dunn, tied for second place

Poetry

  • Jose Gomez, second place

First-prize winners in each category received $100, second-prize winners, $50 and third-prize winners, $25.
